By JIM MOOREAP, Associated Press A California hospital is raising concerns about a vaccine it says could cause a major health crisis in the U.S. The California Health Care Authority is warning that some patients who received the vaccine on Friday will have an elevated risk of contracting the coronavirus.

The CAHCA said in a statement that it’s “confident that we can manage this as safely as possible and is reviewing our protocols and protocols-in-exile” with the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The vaccine is called Covid-19.

Some of the more than 60,000 doses of the vaccine have been distributed in the United States.

Health officials say the coronovirus is spreading rapidly in California.

The state has reported a nearly 200 percent increase in the number of coronaviruses reported since April and a nearly 3,000 percent increase nationwide in the first six months of this year.

The coronaviral coronavirence rate in the state is about 30 times higher than in the rest of the country.

“It’s hard to imagine what we would do without the vaccine,” said Dr. Michael Pachter, a professor of infectious diseases at the University of California, San Francisco.

Pachters group published a study last week that found Covid 19 was more deadly than the coronivirus in a handful of California counties and that it was the most lethal strain of the virus in the county in which he worked.

The research was funded by the California Nurses Association.

“There are a number of things we’re looking at, whether or not it’s appropriate to distribute it in this way, whether it’s safe for this group of patients to receive it, whether we’re doing the right thing by vaccinating these patients,” said CAHCO Executive Director Steve Lasky.

Laskys office released a statement saying the CAHFA is working with the CDC and federal health officials to ensure “any vaccine that is administered to patients in California complies with federal regulations and protocols.”

It also said CAHA is reviewing its protocols and will continue to review them with the FDA.

The statement said the CAHA had been in contact with health officials from the Centers for Diseases Control and the Food and Drug Administration, and that CAHHA was coordinating with them on the matter.

A CDC statement said Friday’s vaccine was given in a separate vaccine room.

The agency said it is reviewing all vaccines and vaccines given to those patients to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the vaccines.

The federal government has issued an emergency declaration for people with serious health conditions in the continental U.s.

“In the event of an outbreak of coronoviruses, we are working with federal and state health officials, as well as private entities and the private sector to provide critical health care to people in need,” the statement said.

The vaccine is being tested in California for the first time since it was first made available in May, and a final decision will be made next week.

It’s unclear how the coronavalirus will be distributed.

There are currently more than 1.8 million people in California, about half of whom are receiving the vaccine.

Health authorities say the average age of people receiving the coronaviovirus vaccine in the past two weeks was 68, according to the California Department of Public Health.
